5Dimes Closed – BetAnySports Opens
I’ve been following the 5Dimes closing story the last few weeks and the word on the street is 1 of 2 reasons why it shut down suddenly:
- Most Likely: They are just done with the USA. The whole rebranding/something new coming story is just to ease the blow. Their owner Tony was kidnapped and murdered FYI if you didn’t know in 2018. The 5Dimes company has been run by his widow since, and she’s not interested in keeping it going.
- They are trying to go legit and go the route of a Draftkings or Fanduel, which means they need state by state approval. This is the more unlikely rumor.
Popular opinion is the owner (the deceased owners wife and family) just done with the USA and running a sports betting site. For now they have international operations still running, but most are speculating it’ll be shut down and/or transitioned as well.
BetAnySports is Born (it’s basically 5Dimes)
Several of the larger, high roller bettors on 5Dimes had their accounts automatically rolled over to BetAnySports. Not most people (nor myself), but the big, big, 6 figure balance players.
The word on the inside sportsbook streets is basically BetAnySports is its own, new company, but it’s basically 5Dimes. BetAnySports bought out 5Dimes, its higher valued players, the software. Once you sign up, it’s the exact same site. Same layout, same rules, same bonuses, same account numbering system, same everything.
So Should You Use Them?
I’ve only used them a week, but so far so good. I’ve talked to customer support just to see how they were, and all was good (fast response, answered my questions correctly). I’ve deposited with crypto, bet, won, withdrew all no issues. It really basically is like 5Dimes but with a different skin.
So for you previous 5Dimes bettors, if you really liked it I’d recommend BetAnySports.
